Founder Story
Ahmad Mian is a three-time founder, operator, and investor with more than three decades across insurance technology, legal technology, and technology-enabled services.
He was Founder and CEO of FileControl, a global litigation technology company that supported large-scale e-discovery and complex legal matters. FileControl was recognized by the Houston Business Journal as a Fast Tech 50 honoree for four consecutive years and was selected by Microsoft for an enterprise-scale SQL Server case study. Ahmad exited FileControl in 2011.
That same year, he joined Houston International Insurance Group (HIIG) as a senior operating executive and early equity holder, leading operations and technology across multiple regulated insurance and underwriting entities. He served on multiple regulated insurance company boards, including as Chairman of National Health Insurance Company through its acquisition by a division of AmTrust Financial Services (NASDAQ: AFSI), a specialty insurance holding company.
He helped scale the business from an early-stage specialty insurer to more than $600M in Gross Written Premium, leading full-cycle integration across six acquisitions. The platform was later rebranded as Skyward Specialty Insurance Group and completed its IPO on NASDAQ (SKWD) in 2023.
Today, Ahmad serves as Founder and Chairman of TexInvestCo and Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Murkez Technologies.
Team & Leadership
Finance leader with over 15 years of experience across financial operations, reporting, controls, and payroll.
Muhammad Nadeem has been with TexInvestCo since 2018, overseeing financial operations across engagements and portfolio companies, including reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, payroll, and audit. Prior to joining, he spent 11 years as Finance Manager at FutureNow Technologies, leading financial operations for a technology services firm. He holds an MBA in Finance.
Technology infrastructure and operations leader with over 20 years of experience across IT strategy, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
Muhammad Rasheed has been with TexInvestCo since 2018, leading technology delivery across engagements, overseeing IT infrastructure, cloud operations, cybersecurity, and systems management. Prior to joining, he held progressive IT leadership roles across enterprise environments, managing infrastructure operations, datacenter design, endpoint security, and cross-functional technology programs.
